The standard governs my service
Service Is a Standard, Not a Brand
Before politics, before campaigns, before party labels, there must be a standard.
Authority Requires Restraint
Mine was forged in service — reinforced by oath, discipline, and the Soldier’s Creed.
The Soldier’s Creed and Civilian Government
The Soldier’s Creed teaches responsibility without entitlement, authority without ego, and duty without applause.
Those principles matter in civilian government because power without restraint is how liberty is lost.
Military service does not entitle anyone to office.
It does, however, teach what many career politicians forget:
power is borrowed, limits matter, and the mission comes before self.
Duty Does Not Expire With the Uniform
I am not asking Texans to salute me.
I am asking them to hold me to the same standard I was trained to uphold.
